The business which was founded in 1945 has selected Aire Park as its newest location in Leeds and is taking 2,282 sq ft within the ground floor of Aire Park’s first commercial building 3 South Brook Street. The prime location overlooks The Tetley building and the evolving 8-acre public park at the heart of the development.
Maughans newest deli aims to open this autumn and will serve everything from flaky pastries and artisan coffee to decedent cakes as well as sandwiches made on freshly baked bread throughout the day. More than just a deli, the new venue has been designed as a community hub, which will feature a licensed bar and host a programme of community led events, including networking events, guest speaker talks and local workshops. Whether stopping by for breakfast, lunch, after-work drinks or attending an event, Maughans aims to become a vibrant destination for residents, businesses and visitors at Aire Park.
The bakery firm which started in Mirfield and now operates multiple sites, including, a bakery and store in Mirfield with an addition in Leeds, is part of a new retail line up within Aire Park which compliments the existing food and drink options in the local area and benefits from being part of the city’s premiere business address.
South Brook Street, the commercial district within Vastint UK’s regeneration of the former Tetley brewery site, is being designed with ESG at its heart with all the buildings targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certifications, an EPC A rating and Platinum WELL accreditations.
Vastint UK’s vision for the site also goes beyond bricks and mortar, focusing on creating best in class spaces for occupiers and developing opportunities for them to become part of its ambitious mixed-use community, which is centred around the UK’s largest new city centre green space.
