We recently welcomed students from The University of Leeds to Aire Park as part of their MSc in Architecture and Design Studies.
The group is exploring themes including urban regeneration, placemaking, sustainability and city-making, so the Aire Park team was happy to share the vision behind one of the UK’s most significant city centre regeneration projects. The team offered an insight into both the challenges and opportunities involved in transforming a former industrial site into a new and diverse mixed-use neighbourhood for Leeds, from a design development perspective through to planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery.
We’re proud to be able to play a small part in supporting the next generation of architects, designers and urbanists as they develop their understanding of how ambitious regeneration projects can unlock new opportunities for the UK’s towns and cities.
